<div id="subtitle">CEO of Country Music Association since 2007 has resigned, no reason given in statement</div><div><p>The CEO of the Nashville-based Country Music Association has resigned effective immediately.</p><p>The association announced the resignation of Tammy Genovese in a news release Wednesday. No reason was given for her departure.</p><p>Genovese began her career with the trade group in 1985 and had been CEO since 2007.</p><p>The association is best known for its awards show held each fall.
