Glance: Coach 2nd-quarter earnings

<div id="subtitle">A look at luxury handbag maker Coach's second-quarter earnings</div><div><p>PROFIT: Rose 11 percent to nearly $241 million, or 75 cents per share, from $216.9 million, or 67 cents per share, a year earlier.</p><p>REVENUE: Rose 12 percent to $1.07 billion from $960 million in the quarter a year ago.</p><p>SALES COMPARISON: Sales in stores open at least one year rose 5 percent in North America, the first increase in five quarters.</p><p>WHAT'S SELLING: The brightly colored Poppy line and higher-end Madison line both sold well over the holidays.
